Pour over pop up @ Francis Bread, Salt Spring

We’ll be popping up at our friend’ space on Salt Spring Island for an essential pour over service. We’ll have 2 coffees, 1 unreleased.

The first from Luis Rubio out of Nicaragua slotted in for our Bare profile. A natural process caturra/catuai with an additional carbonic maceration step, aka zero oxygen w wet fermentation of 240+ hours, full cherry. Refreshing and funky, tastes like blueberries, ginger, zingy !! Luis has took home a number of wins from the Nicaraguan Cup of Excellence.

The second, an unreleased Kenyan for our Opus profile, the classic double washed from the Kirinyaga region, a fruit forward lot from Kii factory, a farmer’s cooperative of 850+ small lot producers. Big red fruits, cranberries, bright!! This lot was sourced through Vava, a female owned and operated exporter advocating for excellence within the Kenyan coffee community, working with producers of all sizes.
